TMR Specialties began the sharpening division of their business in 2008. Todd Roberts originated and still owns the family run company today. Todd was inspired to start this portion of the business after he found that there were very few sharpening services in the local area. He invested in equipment to sharpen his own blades and after a while, was inspired to do the same work for others.
Before opening his company’s doors, Todd trained under Thorvie International and Wolff Industries for scissors and shears. Once he completed his training his company was open for business. Todd began by sharpening circular saw blades. Due to his clients' high demand he has expanded his list of sharpening services to SHARPEN ON SITE and include Planer Blades, Hole Saws, Hedge Trimmers, Wood Chisels, Scissors, Knives and More.
Sharpening Blades is a “Green” practice and can save consumers more money in the long run by having them sharpened versus buying new ones.

In this economy, with profit margins getting slimmer, it is more cost-effective to sharpen your existing cutting equipment. With many specialty saws on the market today it can be both difficult to locate and costly to buy replacement blades.
